The Rules

One of the few guilds reaching out to Newbies, after all they are the future of Mankind, and the future of Newbabylon Welcome all this is the first step to becoming a official member of Newbabylon and learning how to take advantage of Mankind. Join up and you'll have plenty of fun, become a member of a large community, and learn the meaning of life.


New Babylon

New Babylon is an Honorable, Democratic, Cooperative, Diplomatic guild based on Peaceful Expansion, Freedom, Commerce, Helping Newbies, & Protection through military strength.

1. When you wear the *NB* tag, you represent all of us in the guild. Please remember this in all game situations.

2. As honorable persons, we treat each other and all others, even enemies with respect in communications.

3. We uphold all alliances, hold true to all cease fires, and support our members to the best of our abilities. We currently hold the following alliances: Defensive alliance with GE and USSF. Defensive alliance requires us to lend aid and assistance if one of their members in our area is attacked, and vice versa.

NonAgression pact with CdG
Other friends to NB include: SEI, ISC, FPO, HA, SF, RA, Mambo Ind., Fedaykin, Miel, NoS.

4. When conflicts arise, we will seek diplomatic solutions first, defensive action second, offensive action as a last resort. Any offensive action requires approval of council. Defense and retaliation against PKs does not.

5. NB members will sell within guild first, external second in matters of needed military or transport ships.

6. NB members will not sell settlers or destroyers externally to the guild. According to trade agreement with GE, we will also not resell settlers or destroyers purchased from GE to external sources.

7. New members will be on probation for a period of one week

8. Members after probation will be asked to contribute to the guild funds each weekend 5000 credits, to help with guild defenses, special purchases, helping newbies, and support of guild shared rare minerals bases.

9. Members who leave NB are asked to abide by a 1-week transition period before joining another guild.

10. Members of less than 1 month who leave NB will be required to repay any and all help given by NB as they joined the guild, including the return of all ships given, reimbursement of any player who made donations of credits and/or settlers. Failure to do this shall be considered an act of treason against NB, and may result in military action up to and including total annihilation, especially if the player attacks NB.

11. Any member who is located in a "NB only" cube must agree to relocate at his own expense to a position external to the cube if that member should chose to leave NB. NB may at its discretion pay the player for items left behind if it would benefit NB to do so.

12. All members will make available to the military all ships possible for group defense and offense as needed, as determined by the council. The military will not require ships which would endanger the defensive capabilities of the members.

By taking the *NB* tag, you agree to abide by the rules set forth in this agreement.
